Mark your calendars, because registration will be here before you know it, starting on Friday, October 25. The Spring 2025 course schedule will go live in NEST on Friday, October 11, and registration times will be available soon.

Important to Note: Registration times are based on earned credits as of August 31, 2024, and do not include credits your student is currently earning for Fall 2024 and/or Winter 2025. Additionally, registration times represent the FIRST time your student can register, not the ONLY time, and they will not be excused from class to register if their time falls during a scheduled course.

Summer & Winter Session Registration!

Encourage your student to consider getting ahead! Registration for Winter Session is still open, and the class schedule is live. Winter courses start on Monday, December 23, so remind your student to register soon to get the course they need.

The Summer 2025 class schedule will go live on Monday, November 18, with registration beginning on Monday, November 25.

Academic Advising

Encourage your student to schedule an appointment with their academic advisor through Navigate (link provided in an email sent to your student with the subject line 'Registration is Coming'). Advisors are key to helping your student stay on track with their academic goals and develop a plan for completing their degree. Advising also supports your student's personal and intellectual development.

Not Sure Who Your Student's Advisor Is?

If your student doesn’t know who their advisor is, they can log into NEST and click on Degree Works to find this information. The advisor’s name will be listed on their Degree Audit.

Your Student May Need a PIN

Certain students need to meet with their advisor to receive a registration PIN, including:

  • All first-year students
  • Pre-declared majors (University College)
  • Undergraduate students majoring in Anthropology, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Geography, Sustainability Science, Political Science, Jurisprudence, Law and Society or Law and Governance
  • Readmit students, transfer students and veteran students

Priority registration students will receive an email explaining how to obtain their 'alternate PIN' before their registration time.

Check for Holds!

Remind your student to check for any holds on their account. Holds can prevent registration, especially financial holds, which will be placed on accounts soon. If your student has an outstanding balance, Payment Plans are still available.

Questions?

In addition to their academic advisor, Red Hawk Central is available to assist your student with any general registration questions.

FERPA Policy

The University will not release information regarding a student’s educational record without the student’s permission as defined here: Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). In certain circumstances the student may wish to allow their parent, spouse or guardian to have access to some, or all of their educational record. For such requests the student can follow the guidelines for setting up “Proxy” access, as desired. Learn How To Get Access!
