Parking Permit Information

Online parking registration for Montclair State University and Bloomfield College of Montclair State University opens on Thursday, August 1, 2024. All vehicles parked on campus must either be registered with a valid Montclair State University permit or pay for daily parking.

Important Information & Registration Details

Before your student(s) register, remind them:

1. Review their available Permit Options online before registering.
2. Read and understand the Parking Regulations that apply to their permit.
3. Familiarize themselves with the campus layout by viewing the Montclair Campus Parking Map and/or the Bloomfield Campus Parking Map before the start of the semester. 
4. Explore the Shuttle Services website and the Parking website for other on-campus and off-campustransportation options.
5. Navigation Apps: Download the Parking Logix Parker Mobile App for Andriod or Apple and the Trip Shot App for on-campus navigation.
6. Person With Disabilities (PWD) no longer need to be verified by Parking Services to obtain a permit. A Montclair State University parking permit must be purchased and a valid state-issued PWD license plate or hang tag must be displayed to park in any PWD spaces.
7. Residents purchasing NJ Transit Permits will be allowed to park on campus surface lots until August 31, 2025. NJ Transit permit regulations will be in effect as of Sunday, September 1, 2024.

Please Note: It is your student's responsibility to read and abide by the Parking Regulations and to ensure that all vehicle information is up-to-date.

Permit Types & Prices

Permits can be obtained on the Parking Services website beginning Thursday, August 1. Please expect delays via the web as we await higher-than-normal traffic. All permits will be active beginning Monday, August 1, 2024.

*Red Hawk Parking Garage Permits are in high demand and limited quantity. The permits are purchased on a first-come, first-serve basis and will close when the limit is reached.

Residents with less than 29 credits will not be allowed to have vehicles on campus due to limited parking spaces. Students may fill out an exceptions request form** for extenuating circumstances beginning Tuesday, August 1, 2024. Only medical exceptions will be considered. If you are requesting Medical Exceptions without a New Jersey state-issued hangtag, you must contact the Disability Resource Center** with documentation to be considered for other permit options.
