Your Student(s) Received an Email: 'Your Fall 2024 Bill Details'.

Fall 2024 Bill Details

Your student's bill for the fall 2024 semester is now available to view in NEST.

FEPRA Regulations

Although families cannot directly access NEST due to FERPA regulations, you can support your student(s) by supporting them in finding their bill. Discuss the importance of filing the FERPA Waiver to ensure you can be involved in their academic journey.

Payment Due Date: Monday, August 12, 2024.

This bill reflects your student's balance using costs including tuition, fees, any applicable housing and meal plans. You may use this bill for your financial planning well before the payment deadline and as a point of reference when requesting funds from a 529 Plan, private loans, financial aid, etc.

Health Insurance Waiver/Enrollment Information

Some students also may have the University Health Insurance Premium included in their fall 2024 balance. You and your student will receive a separate email about waiving or enrolling in the University Health Insurance Premium, soon! All full-time and international students are required to have health insurance.

Finding the Bill

  • Advise your student(s) to log into NEST using their University NetID and password.
  • Navigate to the 'Student Accounts' web page at the left-hand side.
  • Navigate to 'View and Pay My Bill”. On that page, click on “Statement and Payment History.” We email your student(s) updated statements to their Montclair State University email address on the 1st and 15th of each month.
  • If your student(s) would like to review their account in real-time (including any billing changes associated with recent schedule updates), select 'Pay My Bill Now' → 'My Account' → 'Account Activity' → 'Fall 2024.'

Reminder: The due date for your student's fall 2024 payment is Monday, August 12, 2024.

If your student(s) enrolls in a payment plan, please refer to the payment schedule that is emailed to their University email address upon successful enrollment.

  • Any creditworthy borrower or your student(s) with a creditworthy cosigner can consider an alternative loan.

Important Notes About the Bill

  • Important Reminder: Any adjustments to your student's schedule (i.e., adding or dropping courses) will affect their final bill. If they maintain 12-18 credits throughout their adjustments, the flat rate cost will not change.
  • This bill shows your student's financial aid (as of now) that will be applied to their account and the resulting net amount that will be due.
  • Please ensure your student(s) review the Montclair State University Financial Responsibility Agreement.
  • Recent Parent PLUS or private loan applications may not be reflected in the estimated aid amount on this bill.
  • Students are billed on a semester basis (fall, winter, spring, and summer). Montclair State University reserves the right to change tuition, fees, health insurance premium and room and board every academic year.
  • Note for freshmen beginning this fall: If your student's bill states that they are registered part-time, or states that there is no bill because they do not yet have a class schedule, please advise your student(s) to contact their academic college's success center for support.
