Fall 2022 Official Bill Now Available

Bills for the fall 2022 semester are now available in NEST. The due date is Monday, August 22, 2022.

What Does the Bill Include?

This bill reflects the balance using costs including tuition, fees and the University Student Health Insurance premium for full-time* students, plus any applicable housing and meal plans. You may use this bill for your financial planning well before the payment deadline and as a point of reference when requesting funds from a 529 Plan, private loans, financial aid, etc.

*Full-time student status for health insurance is considered twelve (12) or more credits for undergraduate students and nine (9) or more credits for graduate students.

Finding The Bill

  • Have your student log into NEST using their University NetID and password.
  • Navigate to the “Student Accounts” web page on the left-hand side.
  • Navigate to the “View My Bill” portlet and select “View Statement and Payment History.”
  • Select “View Activity.” Here you will see the fall 2022 bill which is based on your enrolled credits, fees, financial aid, room and meal plans if applicable.
  • Charges and payments are reflected in real-time on NEST. Please go to NEST to view any changes made to your schedule.
  • Bi-monthly invoices are emailed on the 1st and 15th to your student's Montclair State University email address.

Financial Aid Options to Pay Your Bill

  • Your Federal Direct Loans as offered; if available view on NEST.
  • Consider a Federal Direct PLUS Loan. If you are denied based on credit, your student will receive additional unsubsidized loan funds in your student's name.
  • Any creditworthy borrower or you with a credit worthy cosigner can consider an alternative loan.

Important Notes About The Bill

  • Review the Montclair State University Financial Responsibility Agreement.
  • This bill shows your student's financial aid (as of now) that may be applied to your account and the resulting net amount that will be due.
  • Any adjustments to your fall 2022 schedule (e.g. adding or dropping courses, changing housing or your meal plan), may affect your bill. If your student maintains 12-18 credits the flat rate cost for tuition and fees for undergraduate students will not change.
  • Recent Parent PLUS or private loan applications may not be reflected in the estimated aid amount on this bill.
  • Students are billed on a semester basis (fall, winter, spring and summer). Montclair State University reserves the right to change tuition, fees, health insurance premium and room and board every academic year.
  • Note for freshmen beginning this summer or fall: If your student's bill states that they are registered part-time or states that there is no bill because you do not yet have a class schedule, please have them contact their academic college’s success center for support:
