Housing Selection 2026-’27
Housing Selection for 2026–27 is coming up soon and is an important step for students planning to live on campus next year. The process runs from late March through early April and gives students the opportunity to choose where they will live and who they would like to live with.
To receive priority access to select housing and take part in the roommate or suitemate pull-in process, students must submit the $300 non-refundable housing application fee by Tuesday, March 3. Students who submit the fee after this deadline may still participate based on space availability but will not have access to the pull-in process.
After the fee is paid, students will receive an email in mid-March with their specific selection date and time. Current residents select before commuters, as long as all application steps are completed on time. Incoming students will begin their housing selection in June. Learn More!
Submitting the Application Fee Online
Support your student by walking them through the steps to submit the Application Fee.
- Log into TouchNet.
- Click on the “Deposits” tab in the red menu bar.
- Select the term "Fall 2026."
- Select "Housing Deposit."
- Complete all payment information.
- Please keep the receipt for your records!
Submitting the Application Fee In Person
Cash, personal check or money order is accepted at Red Hawk Central.
Make checks payable to “Montclair State University” and students can bring or mail this payment to:
Student Accounts Office at Red Hawk Central, 2nd Floor Atrium, Susan A. Cole Hall, Montclair State University, 1 Normal Ave. Montclair, NJ 07043.
If paying via check, please be sure to write your students Montclair State University CWID number on the check.
Please Note: The Cashier Services on the Bloomfield campus are available on Wednesdays only. For in-person cashier support on other days, visit the Montclair campus.
