The early bird gets the worm… encourage your student to fill out their 2025-2026 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) today! Montclair's priority deadline is March 1, 2025.

What Can You Do Now?

Help your student complete the FAFSA for the 2025-26 year using their FSA IDs. If you (as a parent or step-parent) don’t have a Social Security Number, you can still create an FSA ID by visiting Create Account | Federal Student Aid. This will make completing the FAFSA easier!

What Happens After Filing the FAFSA?

• Your student will receive their FAFSA Submission Summary (with the information they provided) within 3-5 days.
• The colleges listed on the FAFSA will receive the FAFSA data at the same time.
• Montclair will begin processing financial aid for new students in mid-January and after May grades are posted for continuing students.
